Liverpool 'like' Aurelien Tchouameni as £33.5m transfer lined up

Liverpool are just 90 minutes away from a third Champions League final in five seasons after overcoming Villareal 2-0 at Anfield on Wednesday evening.

The two sides will meet again in Spain next Tuesday, where a date in Paris on May 28 with either Manchester City or Real Madrid is on offer. But it is the Reds who have taken control of the tie.

Jurgen Klopp has been able to call upon an almost fully fit squad in recent weeks but as his side continue their pursuit of a trophy quadruple, the Liverpool boss will still be looking to add to his outstanding squad in the summer as others make way. So here's a look a some of the latest LFC transfer rumours doing the rounds today.

BREAKING: Jurgen Klopp contract latest as FSG target new Liverpool deal

Who?

Aurelien Tchouameni

Where?

The Times

Why?

Liverpool's interest in signing Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni is genuine, according to Paul Joyce.

In an article for the Times, Joyce has confirmed that the Reds management 'like' the 22-year-old and are aware that the France international is attracting interest from Real Madrid.

Any move forward will depend on a variety of factors, including price, says Joyce, but if a deal cannot be done for Tchouameni, a similar type of midfielder is what Liverpool are looking for.

Who?

David Carmo

Where?

O Jogo

Why?

David Carmo could finally be heading to Anfield this summer - with Liverpool expected to make a second attempt to sign him.

According to O Jogo, Jurgen Klopp tried to acquire the Braga centre-back on loan during the Reds' defensive crisis last season, with a deal that reportedly included a £17million buy option, but it was turned down on transfer deadline day.

Carmo has since signed a new contract with his Portuguese club, but with Klopp still an admirer, Liverpool have asked for the 'conditions of a possible deal'. The 22-year-old is likely to command a transfer fee of around £33.5million this time around.

Who?

Fabio Carvalho

Where?

Football Insider

Why?

The protracted signing of Fabio Carvalho to Liverpool is a 'done deal' according to Football Insider. It is not secret that the Reds tried to land the young Fulham star on January transfer deadline day but could not complete the deal in time.

But after Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano claimed earlier this month that Liverpool are simply waiting for the West London club to finish their season in the Championship before confirming the move, Football Insider has moved to corroborate the detail and are reporting that the signing will be announced in weeks.

Personal terms are believed to have been completed, plus medical and a compensation payment agreed with Fulham for the 19-year-old. Watch this space.
