Liverpool are once again being linked with a move for Atalanta midfielder Teun Koopmeiners.
The Reds have been frequently credited with an interest in the Netherlands international on and off for several months. Rumours surfaced once again in the January transfer window, and now they have done so again.
According to Italian news outlet Calcio Mercato, Liverpool could make a move to sign Koopmeiners in the summer. It has been claimed that Atalanta will look to make a profit on the midfielder, should they fail to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

Atalanta are currently in sixth place in the Serie A table and four points adrift of the Champions League spots. Koopmeiners signed for Atalanta from AZ Alkmaar in 2021 for a reported fee of €12m (£10.5m).
The report goes a step further by talking about Liverpool and their apparent interest in Koopmeiners. It has been claimed that the Reds are in “pole position” to sign the 25-year-old when the transfer window opens in the summer.
Juventus have also been credited with an interest in signing Koopmeiners. The report concludes by claiming that Atalanta value the midfielder at around €50 (£44m).
