Liverpool hotel named among 'Britain's 100 best places to stay'

A Liverpool hotel has been named one of the 100 "best places to stay in Britain for 2023".

The Times and Sunday Times has compiled a list of hotels up and down the country that offer excellent service, impeccable atmosphere and décor, and value for money. The team, with "decades of expertise" assessed a range of venues, from spas and country retreats to swanky city skyscrapers and more.

Liverpool boasts an impressive roster of hotels, with something to suit all manner of budgets and locations for those seeking a city getaway in the thick of the action, to cosy retreats a little more off the beaten track. There's reliable chains, upmarket boutiques, quirky offerings and more.

It was Liverpool's Titanic Hotel which was featured among the Times' ranks. The luxurious hotel, which opened in 2014, was praised for its interior design; complete with exposed brick, high ceilings, and comforting neutral tones of white juxtaposed with brown leather chairs and chunky oak desks; and its staff which operate as a "seamless team from the front desk to the bar".

Based at Stanley Dock, the four star Titanic hotel is based in a converted 19th-century warehouse, and boasts a restaurant, which is open for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner, and a bar that's open until late. There's also an indoor pool and a spa, as well as conference spaces.

A little way out of the city centre, it;s a quieter spot than other options and provides a tranquil yet sumptuous setting for those wanting a blend of luxury and home comforts. To place a booking, click here. To read The Times' full review, click here.
