Liverpool hospitals looking to fill roles with little experience required

Liverpool University Hospitals are holding a recruitment fair this week with jobs available at three of their hospitals in Merseyside.

The Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (LUHFT) is looking to hire multiple healthcare assistants for "a variety of wards" at three of their hospitals: Aintree Hospital, Broadgreen Hospital and the Royal Liverpool Hospital. The positions range from 23 to 37.5 hours a week and require only basic experience, though applicants must show a "willingness & capability" to undertake an NVQ level 2, the industry-standard qualification for healthcare assistants.

LUHFT is holding a recruitment fair on Wednesday, June 29, this week to advertise the roles and meet prospective applicants. The recruitment fair will be held at the Mersey Ferry Terminal at Pier Head near the Museum of Liverpool.

LUHFT said: "We are looking for individuals who are eager to learn, have a kind and caring attitude and who will be positive team members whether you are "new to care" or have previous experience in a health care role.

"This Trust is an exciting and rewarding place to work and successful applicants will be offered full support in settling into your new role. We offer a full, comprehensive training and induction period and you will assigned to a mentor who will guide and support you through your learning and development".

Those interested will also be given the opportunity to do an interview at the recruitment fair. And, if all goes well, there is the chance that they may be offered a job on the spot.

LUHFT added: "As a HCA you will provide personal care and support to patients at their most vulnerable times. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide a compassionate, caring and safe environment for our patients.

"Your application should highlight your experience in order for the shortlisting panel to be able to select the most suitably qualified individuals to join our team".
