There’s been little to separate Liverpool and Man City once again this season as they continue to push each other to the limits in pursuit of the biggest honours. Having won the League Cup in February, the Reds can still win the quadruple and overcame the reigning Premier League champions to book their place in next month’s FA Cup final.
Meanwhile, City will be holding out hope of clinching both domestic and European titles, with them currently boasting a one-point lead over Liverpool at the top of the table and the two sides currently poised to face off in next month’s Champions League final in Paris after securing semi-final first leg leads in midweek.
They are the two best sides in England, Europe and the world, there is no doubt about that. And, with the duo on the verge of officially confirming that one of them will be Premier League champions for a fifth season in a row, should either win this weekend, this elite rivalry is showing no signs of slowing down.
