Barry Hunter has predicted a "big future in the game" for rising star Conor Bradley.

The Castlederg teeneager swapped Stangmore Park for Anfield in September 2019.

After impressing with the U18s and U23s Bradley was handed a first team opportunity by Jurgen Klopp last season in the Carabao Cup win at Norwich City.

There was also a memorable moment for the full back at the San Siro as he came off the bench to make his Champions League debut in a group game against AC Milan.

Bradley, who already has ten international caps at senior level, has impressed following his loan move to Bolton Wanderers at the start of the season and Hunter believes it is a great move for the 19-year-old.

"Conor is doing really well," said Hunter.

"It's a brilliant move for him, it's a great place to go and play.

"He'll play games, get minutes and play regularly, he's settled straight in.

"Conor's a great boy, great family and he's got a big future in the game."

Hunter was back in Northern Ireland at the weekend and took in the Danske Bank Premiership game between Coleraine and Cliftonville.

He was also guest of honour at the Coleraine and District Football League's 50th anniversary dinner.

The 53-year-old said the league played a big part of his and his father Victor's lives, growing up in his hometown.

"It's lovely to be back," said Hunter

"The people involved in setting this league up are good friends of mine and my dad.

"It was part of my life growing up and I'm delighted to come over.

"There are a lot of boys here though whose grandchildren are now playing, which is a bit concerning," he joked.
