Liverpool fans have begun suggesting possible alternatives to Martin Tyler after it was confirmed the 77-year-old would be stepping aside from Sky Sports after 33 years of service.
Tyler, who has led commentary for the broadcasting company since the inception of the Premier League in 1992, has chosen to leave Sky ahead of the 2023/24 season but his next move remains unclear.
It is also yet to be confirmed who will now be the voice of Sky for the biggest games in the English top flight, though plans may well already be in his place regarding a long-term replacement.
One name many have suggested would be the perfect successor is Clive Tyldesley, who was responsible for the famous commentary associated with Liverpool's 2005 Champions League win in Istanbul. It was recently confirmed Tyldesley would be leaving talkSPORT due to his dislike for having to promote gambling companies and odds during live broadcasts, ensuring there could be scope for him to take on an additional role along his work with CBS.

Another name being requested by Reds is Peter Drury, whose poetic lines during Champions League contests have often gone viral on social media.
Commenting on his decision to leave Sky Sports, Tyler said: "In my humble opinion, the huge corporation Sky is today has stemmed from Sky Sports' innovative and inspired coverage of the Premier League.
"It has been a privilege to play a small part in the broadcasting history of the greatest league in the world. Along the way I have worked alongside legions of wonderful professionals in all aspects of the television industry. I thank them all for their support and expertise. It has been an honour to be a member of a very gifted team."
