Liverpool fans have quickly turned on Arsenal defender Ben White who was seen mocking Takumi Minamino in their first-leg of their semi-final clash, as Diogo Jota fired the Reds into the Carabao Cup final.
In the first-leg at Anfield a week ago, 10-man Arsenal held on to earn a respectable 0-0 draw to take back to the Emirates, and White was seen mocking Minamino for his shock miss in the final minute.
It left Arsenal in a good position in what was their last chance at silverware this season after they were dumped out of the FA Cup by Nottingham Forest.
But it is White who has been left feeling embarrassed, and Liverpool fans have taken full advantage of the situation at the defender's misery.
White made the £50million move from Brighton this summer, and after a rocky start the defender has settled in Mikel Arteta's back line, and he was on the brink of making a dream appearance at Wembley with his new side.
However, he and his Arsenal team-mates were left ruing missed opportunities as Jota fired Liverpool into the final, and his taunting of Minamino has now backfired.
Jota got the better of five Arsenal players to open the scoring, as the Portuguese star sent three defenders to the floor in an attempt to stop his strike, and White was seen looking dejected as he dinked his effort past Aaron Ramsdale to add a second.
One Twitter user wrote: "Who had the last laugh Mr White?," while another added: "He got skinned by Jota on his own turf."
Another was equally as smug, as they wrote: "You ain’t smiling anymore are you Ben White?"
One fan really didn't hold back, as they genuinely raised the question: "Can Ben White actually defend? Relatively little bloke at centre-back in modern football always worries me, but he's let players run straight past him. Nice on the ball but is that enough for £50m?"
It wasn't just White in the firing line either, as Arsenal's dramatic celebrations following the 0-0 draw at Anfield are now meaningless, and one Liverpool fan said: "Arsenal celebrated that draw more than Liverpool did making it to the final."
It's a brutal dose of karma for the Arsenal defender, and neither he or his team-mates could contain Jota on Thursday night, or do anything about the passing ability of Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Alexander-Arnold assisted both of the goals on the night, increasing his impressive tally even more, but despite Liverpool's recent success, they will now head to Wembley for the first time since 2016.
For Arsenal, they now only have the Premier League to focus on this season, and Arteta will be hoping to climb back into the European places after missing out last campaign for the first time in 26 years.
