Republic of Ireland and Liverpool star Caoimhin Kelleher made a stunning appearance on RTE's annual Late Late Toy Show spectacular on Friday evening.
The Reds shot-stopper popped by to surprise young Liverpool superfan and toy demonstrator Caelan. As the young lad showed off his blindfolded penalty taking skills to Ryan Tubridy, Kelleher replaced Tubs in goal for the final kick.
Caelan blasted the ball into the top corner, took off the blindfold and was left stunned by the sight of a beaming Kelleher standing before him. And not only did Kelleher make the child's day, he also promised to fly Caelan and his family over to Anfield to watch Liverpool play.
And to top it all off, Kelleher presented the young Liverpool fanatic with a goalkeeper shirt signed by members of the Liverpool squad.
The moment was one of the most touching encounters on this year's Toy Show. The Irish goalie has earned plenty of praise for making the surprise appearance.
"Caoimhin Kelleher surprised a child, Cealan, on tonight's @RTELateLateShow. Kelleher also presented the child with a signed kit from the Liverpool squad and a trip to Anfield. Caoimhin Kelleher - great guy," said Dave.
"Caoimhin Kelleher on the Late Late Toy Show - Class," said Dublin Red, an Irish Liverpool fan account.
"This is what it’s all about Caoimhin Kelleher surprised young Cealan on an Irish TV show and gave the youngster a shirt signed by the entire LFC squad, as well as a fully expensed trip for Cealan’s whole family to see a game at Anfield," posted the Watch LFC account.
Plenty of others also cracked some jokes about the appearance. Not in a bad way mind. Most people pointed out how funny it would have been for Kelleher to explain to Liverpool FC what exactly the Late Late Toy Show is.
"Can we start a Petition to see Caoimhín Kelleher explain the toy show to the Liverpool Team," said Shauna.
While Niall said, "Laughing at the thought of Caoimhin Kelleher explaining the Late Late Toy Show to Luis Diaz."
