Liverpool fans took to social media to praise Nat Phillips for a fantastic sliding challenge he made on Manchester City striker Erling Haaland just after entering the action.
The Reds centre-half was brought on late in the first half at the Etihad Stadium after James Milner suffered an injury that forced him to come off against his former side on Thursday night.
Phillips was on the bench for the fourth round Carabao Cup clash in Manchester, but produced an expert challenge on the dangerous Haaland.

One Liverpool fan took to Twitter to praise the challenge by Phillips: "That tackle from Nat Phillips on Haaland."
The Reds defender, who is being linked with a move away from Anfield, was labelled "amazing" by this fan: "Well, hey, look at Nat Phillips being amazing."
Premier League top scorer Haaland is going to have a tricky time against Phillips according to this supporter: "Nat Phillips owns Haaland already."
Did Phillips just add a "couple more million" to his transfer fee? This fan certainly thinks so: "That challenge vs Haaland just added a couple of million pounds to Nat Phillips' transfer fees."
