Liverpool fans have been left unhappy by Martin Tyler's commentary again.
The Reds fell behind against Southampton on Tuesday in their Premier League clash with Nathan Redmond firing home from the edge of the area early on. However, a much-changed Liverpool side responded well to the setback with Takumi Minamino smashing in a fine finish at the goalkeeper's near post.
The Reds know anything other than a win will effectively end their hopes of reeling in Manchester City in the race for the Premier League title as Pep Guardiola's side held a four-point lead and superior goal difference before the match kicked off.
Despite the stakes being high, the backdrop provided by the commentary was not indicative of an important contest.
Tyler was relatively muted in calling both of the first-half goals and Liverpool supporters were quick to dig out the veteran broadcaster after celebrating Minamino's goal:
Former Reds centre-back Jamie Carragher is alongside Tyler on commentary duty for Sky Sports and before the game he defended Klopp's decision to rotate his squad after Saturday's FA Cup final win over Chelsea on penalties.
"I wouldn’t say that his head is not on the Premier League, but Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp both now they have more chance of winning the Champions League final than they do the Premier League," Carragher said.
"The quick turnaround and the players that came off with knocks, or that player 120 minutes, you look at that team and I mentioned it last night, that is exactly what I expected and if I was in Jurgen Klopp’s position, I would have done exactly the same."
Liverpool now lead 2-1 thanks to Joel Matip. Follow all the action HERE .
