Reports have claimed that former Liverpool star Sadio Mane had a ‘bust-up’ with now-former Bayern Munich boss Julian Nagelsmann.
Bayern released Nagelsmann from his contract last week and replaced him with former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel. Nagelsmann has since been linked with taking over at Tottenham Hotspur.
A report in German news outlet Bild has claimed that before Nagelsmann’s departure, he had a ‘bust-up’ with Mane. It has been claimed that the alleged disagreement took place after Bayern beat Paris Saint-Germain in their Champions League last-16 second leg earlier this month.

The report claims that Mane was unhappy with his lack of playing time in that match, after only coming on as a substitute in the 82nd minute. It has been claimed that Mane expressed his frustration to Nagelsmann in the Bayern dressing room in front of the rest of the squad.
Further to this, it was also claimed that Nagelsmann appeared to be “intimidated” by Mane’s alleged frustration. This has led to many Liverpool fans being surprised at what has been reported about Mane.
Paul: “In all the time that he was at LFC, not for one instance was there a hint of any such attitude from Mane. Not saying the below didn't happen but would be VERY surprised by it. Totally out of character.”
Ayomide: “This is not our Mane, not the one that played for Liverpool.”
LFC Transfer Room: “Interesting situation that unravelled with Sadio Mané & Julian Nagelsmann at Bayern Munich. Strange because that doesn’t really seem like Mané’s attitude at all but the sources are reliable.”
Kenn: “Quite odd considering Sadio was one of if not THE nicest dude at Liverpool.”
Francis: “He was never like that under Klopp. Maybe he just wants an experienced manager that knows what he’s doing.”
Chris: “Players get dissatisfied and I can imagine he wasn’t best pleased with a lack of game time but it would be out of character for him to turn a big team win into the Sadio Mané show in the changing rooms, privately yes absolutely, maybe even in ear shot, but not in front.”
Josh: "Mane has his outbursts in heat of the moment on the pitch not behind the scenes like this."
During his time at Liverpool, there was rarely any mention of disagreements with Mane and any of his team-mates or coaching staff, beyond such brief 'heat of the moment' incidents. The one example that frequently gets mentioned is the exchange between the former Reds star and Mohamed Salah back in 2019.
Liverpool won 3-0 at Turf Moor in August 2019, on the way to winning the Premier League title, but the match saw Mane appeared to be visibly unhappy when he was substituted.
Mane later cleared up the reason for his anger, and clarified that he had no issues with Salah.
"He said to me ‘Sadio, why are you angry?’ I told him, ‘You needed to give me the ball, Mo’, to which he replied, ‘I didn’t see you. You know I’ve got nothing against you’,” Mane told Canal Plus in October 2019.
“I know that, but his reaction was a bit strange to me. We talk on the phone sometimes, we text each other and we don’t have a problem.
“We talked between ourselves, and then the manager called me into his office and we spoke. I told him it was already sorted and he was pleasantly surprised.”
