As Liverpool edge closer to their first pre-season friendly of the summer, speculation continues to mount that more additions will join the club.
A lot of recent reports have seen them linked heavily with Real Madrid Marco Asensio and it now seems suitors will face competition for the Spanish star with a number of clubs joining the race to sign him this summer. Plus there's also news of a Liverpool defender possibly being sent out on loan as he continues to develop away from the club.
What's clear is that the team's business is never finished and the Reds are always looking to improve on what they have in the building, while making sure that have a plan for every player, be it at the club or on loan.

Another day, another tale on Marco Asensio's rumoured move to Liverpool. Spanish media outlet Sport have claimed that Liverpool are not the only club interested in signing the Real Madrid star, with Newcastle United and AC Milan entering the race for his signature.
Asensio has 12 months left on his contract and speculation suggests he could join the Reds as depth option with Sadio Mane having recently departed for Bayern Munich. However, club sources inside Anfield have dismissed links to Asensio.

Anderson Arroyo could be set for another loan move. The defender joined Liverpool back in January 2018 but is yet to appear for the club.

Matthijs de Ligt is 'close' to joining Bayern Munich, according to reports in Germany. Clubs across Europe, including Liverpool, have been linked with a move for the defender this summer but it appears the Bundesliga champions could win the race.
Sky in Germany claim Bayern are 'preparing' an offer for the player with talk of a possible contract until 2027. They add Juventus are demanding in the region of €80-120m, with Chelsea also interested.
De Ligt has been linked with Liverpool for some time, with rumours the club were interested prior to his move to Juventus in 2019. However, the Reds are well stocked in the defensive department with Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip, Ibrahima Konate and Joe Gomez competing for places.
