Liverpool are reportedly interested in a move for RB Leipzig star Dominik Szoboszlai.
The Reds remain on the hunt for an attacking midfielder this summer, as Jurgen Klopp looks to further strengthen his squad following the arrival of Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton.
Szoboszlai is high on Liverpool’s wishlist, and The Athletic report that the club have held talks with the 22-year-old’s representatives over the possibility of bringing him to Anfield. However, it is suggested that there is already an acceptance that it will be difficult to agree deal.

There have been reports that the Hungarian international has a €70m release clause, though that is only valid until June 30. Should the figure not be met by that date, the clause will then not apply until the January transfer window.
Newcastle have also been linked with Szoboszlai, as they prepare for life in the Champions League after their superb season. The Magpies have so far proved unwilling to meet the asking price though, and are instead focused on sealing a deal for AC Milan midfielder Sandro Tonali.
Leipzig’s position on Szoboszlai could be strengthened by the potential sale of centre-back Josko Gvardiol, with Man City interested in a big-money move for the Croatian defender.
Should Gvardiol leave, likely for a fee in the region of £85m, Leipzig’s stance on Szoboszlai can be expected to harden.
