Liverpool City Council has announced a number of jobs in the city surrounding next year's Eurovision.
The UK is stepping in to host next year's contest in place of this year's winners Ukraine, who are unable to play host because of the ongoing Russian invasion. Liverpool's bid to host the song contes t was successful, meaning May 2023 will see all eyes turn to our city.
Culture Liverpool has released details of seven vacancies which they are actively accepting applications for.

One of the roles advertised on the Culture Liverpool website is for a part time Community Arts Funding Officer , involving work with the Culture Liverpool, Liverpool City Council, Eurovision team around development of funding applications to support the Eurovision Creative Communities programme and legacy.

Another role on the website is Creative Communities & Education Engagement Officer , which involves Working with the Culture Liverpool, Liverpool City Council Eurovision Team to facilitate and project manage a series of creative community and education engagement projects to deliver an innovative, imaginative, and inclusive programme of arts and cultural activity across the City Region to celebrate Eurovision.

Culture Liverpool is hiring a Project Support Assistant for the song contest, they are responsible for supporting the Head of Governance and Finance and wider Host City Project Management team with administrative and project delivery duties, including minute taking, action logging and tracking, responding to general email enquiries and helping to keep the team on track and focussed on the delivery of the project in line with agreed KPIs, governance plans and within the defined time and quality boundaries.

Another of the vacancies is for a producer role. The producer develops and delivers high quality new commissions/productions and happenings for Culture Liverpool as part of Liverpool being host city for the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest. They must ensure that the commissions and projects assigned to them are delivered to the highest quality and to realistic and agreed timeframes and budgets. The Producer may also be asked to develop projects for other elements of the Eurovision Festival.
There is also an assistant producer role up for grabs.

Commercial Account Manager: Eurovision 2023

5 days per week – Contract end date 27 May 2023
To secure and account manage Culture Liverpool’s commercial brand partnerships, brand activations and pouring rights partnerships in the lead up to and during Eurovision 2023 to support programme delivery and meet organisational objectives. To support and assist with other related commercial work across the team.

The Technical Production Manager will have a good working knowledge of the technical management The Cultural Programme for Eurovision 2023 Festival. They’ll be great at finding creative solutions to problems, will be a collaborative team player and will have a positive, can-do attitude. They’ll have extensive experience in large scale events, visual arts, music and culture. The post holder will be confident helping artists and the culture Liverpool Producing Team to bring brand new commissions to fruition and managing external site and production teams during the development and live Eurovision Cultural Festival.
