Liverpool crowd send perfect message during The Lathums sellout gig

"John Lennon shouldn't have died."

That was the loudest moment of the night as The Lathums played to a sold-out Mountford Hall in Liverpool. The line from their single 'Great Escape' was sung back at the band with passion during their fifth set of the night - fitting for the city that the Wigan band was playing in.

They opened the night with 'Say My Name' from their latest album 'From Nothing To A Little Bit More'. The crowd on the night was mixed ranging from children to people much older and they loved every moment as the Lathums sang some of their older tunes, as well as songs from the new album.

Halfway through the night, they slowed it down a little bit with an amazing performance of 'All My Life' that the sell-out crowd sang every single word at the top of their voices.

Each song received a huge pop and the audience's response showed why the Lathums love coming to play in Liverpool so much - and it won't be long until they're back with a gig on May 21 at Hangar 34.

Singer Alex Moore had the audience eating out of the palm of his hand throughout the night (Ewan Ogden.)

Singer Alex Moore had the audience eating out of the palm of his hand throughout the night and commanded an excellent stage presence that would be suited to bigger stages and festivals. His unique and powerful voice somehow gives him an even larger presence on the stage and the band is destined for bigger tours in the coming years.

Near the end of the gig, they debuted a song called 'Knotted Bed of Roses', which went down well with the crowd. The band returned for an encore of two songs beginning with their latest single 'Struggle' followed by 'Artificial Screens' to close the night. It won't be long until The Lathums are doing arena tours.
