A cocktail bar in Liverpool is hosting a treasure hunt in the city centre with a “once in a lifetime” prize up for grabs.
Victorian-style speakeasy The Oracle is known for its cocktails and close-up magicians, and from today it’s putting on a five-day treasure hunt with a prize up for grabs each day. The hunt will take participants around some of Liverpool’s most historic landmarks as they search for the golden tickets.
The Oracle will post clues on its social media accounts about the hidden locations of the tickets. Prizes will include vouchers and free entry, but one is a “once in a lifetime” prize - an invitation.

The lucky finder of this ticket will be invited to work alongside The Oracle’s team of magicians to develop a “mind blowing experience” for an unsuspecting friend or family member. Whoever finds the all-important golden ticket will have the chance to learn the magician's secrets and will work over the course of a fortnight to develop a “once in a lifetime experience” to give their chosen person a “memory they’ll never forget”.
The Oracle’s creative consultant, Benjamin, said: “It’s exactly ideas like this that could get us banned from the magic circle. We’ll be taking a non-magician and bringing them into our world. We’ve never done anything like this before and it’s going to be special but that’s what we do. The Oracle creates experiences.”
The treasure hunt commences today, April 18, and lasts until Friday, April 22. To redeem a golden ticket, you must be over 18.
