Day one brought us two wickets and 293 runs.
Today, 379 runs were scored for just two wickets.
It's a run-fest at the moment and the game is still quite evenly poised.
An Australian bowling barrage will ensue tomorrow you'd expect, and if that brings wickets then Australia could go a long way towards winning the game.
If this pair continue to impress though, then who knows.

Windies batted well: Josh Hazlewood

"They batted well, to their credit," Josh Hazlewood says on Fox Sports.
On Chanderpaul: "It was an interesting start, but once he got going he plays a few shots and seems pretty tough to bowl too."
Not much sympathy for the youngster, who he nailed in the privates with a nasty delivery.
"That's just part of the game," he laughs.
Harsh, but fair.

Stand and applaud Australia, that was a terrific day's cricket, ended by a brilliant opening stand of 74 between two batters who have been sorely tested against all the odds.
I was so impressed with Chanderpaul, he got hit several times but on each occasion played it so well, dropping his hands, getting the bat out the way.
It was the sort of performance that so many opening batters had to play when faced with the famous West Indian quartet of the late 70s.
But this time it was a West Indian with a famous name, perhaps at the start of a famous innings of his own.
25th over - Starc to bowl the last of the day

Chanderpaul is on 46 - it would be real cool if he got to a half century in this over.
Two dots first up though as Starc targets the tender body of Chanderpaul with some real heat, 145kph the first ball. Chanderpaul is already bruised from some vicious treatment early in his innings.
Another bouncer, again Chanderpaul gets under it.
He needs to be sensible here and not try too hard to get a boundary.
A single down to fine leg gets him off strike.
BEATEN! What a ball, around the wicket, angling in to the West Indies captain and that's missed the stumps by an inch and the outside edge by even less than that. What a ball.

24th over - Hazlewood continues

Nice shot, flaying the ball uppish through point for two.
EDGED! Past third slip and in front of gully for four. Soft hands though, I'm not sure it would have carried. In fact, it would have been well short. Well played really.
Beaten outside off.
CLOSE! Chanderpaul hooks over the man at bat pad, the ball bouncing just short of Nathan Lyon deep square leg. They run a single.
Brathwaite sees out the rest of the over.
23rd over - Starc continues

Chanderpaul gets off strike straight away.
Brathwaite defends the first,
Starc sprays the ball wide across Brathwaite's bows, the skipper leaves those balls alone.
He has to defend a rising delivery aimed at his ribcage though, it falls very safely in front of Travis Head at bat pad.
Brathwaite leaves the last outside off well alone.
It goes without saying that these two need to be here at the close if the Windies are to have any hope of keeping themselves in the game.

Chanderpaul swiped a hook at a short ball but the ball hits him off the bat and falls safely out to square leg.
Chanderpaul gets off strike with a leg bye now.
Two for the skipper Brathwaite to midwicket.
Outside off, Brathwaite leaves well alone, bat high up in the sky.

In Warner's defence, Usman Khawaja did say the start of the day was the hardest time to bat, the ball almost bouncing like a tennis ball on a soft pitch that has hardened up a bit.
21st over - Mitch Starc is back into the attack

Just five overs left in the day.
Chanderpaul gets bat on ball but can't score anything.
He'll take a single this time though, down to backward square leg.
Brathwaite defends.
Oh that one has launched up off a length and Brathwaite has been rapped on the bottom glove there. That might sting a bit. The Windies captain shakes his fist and then gets back to it.
He defends a fuller one outside off, Starc trying to angle the ball across the Windies skipper.
Great take from Carey as Starc sprays the last down the leg side.
20th over - Hazlewood is back

The Lyon experiment is over, which seems to be a bit of shame, but we've gone back to pace and Josh Hazlewood.
Chanderpaul defends the first back down the pitch. He's 30 off 56.
That ball is fended to the man at bat pad for no run.
Four! Cut to deep point and that's raced away to the boundary. Very well-played shot.
Now the ball pops up a bit off the bat down the pitch but falls safely.
That's another lovely shot, squarer this time to the deep point boundary but it won't reach the rope and they run three.
Brathwaite defends to mid on for no run to end the over.
19th over - Cummins to continue

Bouncer! Chanderpaul wants to go for that six over fine leg again but misses and Carey takes is over his head. Not sure that's wholey wise from Chanderpaul, with two men back for that shot.
Wider on the off side, he pushes into the off side for a single, Cam Green at gully giving chase.
Three slips are all interested as the ball flies past the straight edge of Brathwaite.
Brathwaite defends the next back down the pitch.
Outside off left well alone to end the over.
18th over - Lyon to Chanderpaul

Three men around the bat, Carey the chief cheerleader, with Marnus under his nose at silly mid off and Head at bat pad.
Chanderpaul is defending very, very nicely here though.
Not as much turn to the left hander it seems for Lyon, and when there is Chanderpaul leans back and slaps the ball through the covers for three.
The ball sounded like a gun shot coming off the blade then, lovely sound echoing around the arena.
A slip and leg slip for Brathwaite join the two men forward of the crease, as the Windies skipper defends.

17th over - Chanderpaul fronts up to Cummins

Chanderpaul takes a single past Cummins with a nice little off drive.
That's the 50 up for the West Indies, off exactly 100 balls.
Brathwaite leaves outside off.
BIG APPEAL! Was there an edge there? It sounded like a noise and they're definitely going to have a look at this.
Carey went up immediately, Cummins liked it a lot and he's been given the OK by his teammates to review this.
Ball is very close to the bat on the slow-mo...
Nothing on hot spot.
Nothing on snicko.
Not out.
Umpire Illingworth said he heard a noise too but it didn't sound like bat to him, by way of explanation, which seems reasonable.
Carey actually said he didn't hear anything and it was the crew around the bat, led no doubt by Marnus who did.
Outside edge is beaten again to end the over.
16th over - Nathan Lyon will continue

Brathwaite tries to turn that around the corner with the spin, but can't beat the fielder at short leg.
Lyon is right on the money here, forcing Brathwaite to defend and play at every single ball that comes his way.
Big stride this time, smothering the turn.
Great batting, watchful and intense. Nathan Lyon matching that with his bowling. Who'll blink first. Fascinating stuff.
15th over - Pat Cummins continues

Four slips, a gully, bat pad, Chanderpaul defends back down the pitch.
SIX! WOWZA! Chanderpaul has some guts - and not just those that have been bruised. He's taken on the short ball from Cummins and helped it back tover fine leg for the maximum.
SHOT! Just a little push to mid off from Chanderpaul, nicely timed and it's a couple more. Beautiful stuff.
Chanderpaul wanted to go for six backward of square again, but this time he doesn't make contact.
The last ball edged to gully on the bounce.
