Now you've binged series two of Netflix hit, Bridgerton, why not live like Lady Whistledown and the exquisitely decadent families on the show and book a stay at Welsh house, Gileston Manor. The Vale of Glamorgan manor house is set in gorgeous nine acres of grounds overlooking the Bristol Channel.
Even better, the stunning interiors will be like stepping right into the 'Ton, with much of the elegant interior design channelled by the owner, Lorraine Llewellyn. The house is a Georgian Grade II listed building with eight suites for up to 18 guests, as well as use of the music room overlooking the front lawns, and there's a ballroom, too.

A stunning place to get married, Gileston Manor hosts weddings and open days, but don't worry, you don't have to book a wedding, or even a stay to visit. The estate will be hosting an Easter Sunday Afternoon Tea for those looking for something special during the bank holiday weekend. By all means enjoy a sumptuous afternoon tea in the surroundings of the manor’s opulent ballroom, which is located on the property’s first floor, where prosecco can be sipped overlooking the perfectly manicured gardens and heritage coastline - but, remember, don't let Lady Whistledown's spies see you unaccompanied with a potential suitor in those gardens!
Following the Easter Sunday celebration, afternoon tea will be available on the last Sunday of every month, to be enjoyed in the ballroom or out on the property’s lawns if the sun is shining and their high-end pop-up bar, located in the Lotus Marquee, will be reopening. Following its success through the pandemic, the bar is set to return this year and will be offering coffee, tea, cakes, a wide range of gins and cocktails, alongside musical entertainment, and street food events.
Lorraine, who lives at the Manor with husband Josh, whose brother, designer David Emanuel designed the bridal suite, said: "Over time I’ve gathered my interior design inspiration from across the world. But for me, the most important part of any design project is to get a real feel for the property and what it needs. I find once you’ve lived in a house for a while, it tells you what it needs, almost speaks to you. This is key to renovating a house as old as Gileston Manor, you need to make it timeless. This is what we’ve tried to achieve at the estate, with a few modern twists along the way."
As well as the suites inside the Manor House, there are also original outbuildings, The Apple Store, The Coach House, The Stalls, The Carriages and The Stables, also used as accommodation for guests.
