
The International Criminal Court (ICC) on Friday issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin for war crimes, including his alleged involvement in the abductions of children from Ukraine. Russia is not party to the Rome Statute of the ICC and immediately dismissed the warrant as legally baseless. Ukraine, on the other hand, hailed a “historic” step to secure justice.
