Thousands of motorists are set to hit the roads today (December 26) with shopping centres in particular set to be busy for the annual Boxing Day sales.
Bristol's Cabot Circus, Cribbs Causeway and The Galleries, as well as Gloucester Quays, will all be opening its doors from 10am as shoppers scramble to grab themselves a bargain. Therefore, the M5 and M4 motorways in the South West will no doubt be busy, as well as the M32 heading into Bristol.
There is also a lot of sporting action taking place on Boxing Day, with Bristol City, Cheltenham Town and Exeter City all set to attract large attendances.

No trains will be running on Boxing Day, and even though they will be back up and running tomorrow (December 27); there will be a significantly reduced service due to it being a Bank Holiday and industrial action taking place. Short-notice alterations or cancellations are therefore likely.
Engineering work will be taking place on some services, with replacement buses operating through Bristol Parkway and between Fareham and Portsmouth. The Night Riviera Sleeper will also not be running.
Great Western Railway (GWR) say that passengers who have already purchased tickets for travel on strike says can claim a full refund or amend their tickets. Tickets for Tuesday, December 27, can instead be used up to and including Thursday, December 29, while season ticket holders can apply for compensation through the Delay Repay scheme.
