A live-action adaptation of popular Dreamworks animated film 'How to Train Your Dragon' is to begin filming in Northern Ireland this summer.
The movie follows Hiccup, an undersized teen wishing to become a dragon slayer like the other Vikings and his journey with a dragon he names Toothless.
On Wednesday, the first cast members for the live-action movie were revealed to be Mason Thames (Black Phone) set to star as Hiccup and Nico Parker (The Last of US) as Astrid.

The original animated film was released back in 2010, with a sequel following back in 2014 and final film, How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, that was released in 2019.
The series is loosely based on a series of children's books written by British author Cressida Cowell with the same name.
How to Train Your Dragon will be produced by Marc Platt Productions and distributed by Universal Pictures, with original director Dean DeBlois set to return to write and direct the new adaptation.
There is no official confirmation when filming will begin for the film in Belfast but the live-action reboot is expected to have a theatrical release in March 2025.
