LIV rebels Phil Mickelson and Brooks Koepka couldn't resist a cheeky dig at one another ahead of the Saudi-backed tour's season finale this weekend.
Around £43million is up for grabs in prize money as the controversial series rolls into the Trump National club near Miami to mark the end of an explosive first season for LIV.
Mickelson and Koepka are two of the biggest names in golf and have been poster boys for LIV since deciding to leave behind the PGA Tour to be involved in the contentious venture.
The format allows Koepka, who is captain of the highest-seeded team going into the season finale, to pick his opponent from any seven of the teams that do not have a first-round bye.
Mickelson said Koepka could select him if he wanted a 'rematch of the 2021 PGA', where Lefty pipped the 32-year-old to the title by two shots.
Koepka hit back, saying: "If you wanna play we can play but, I don't know if you know this cause you've never been No.1 in the world but if you finish at the end of the year they give you a little trophy so I got two of those, I'll bring one to show you."
Undeterred, Mickelson spotted an opportunity to land another blow of his own, replying: "That's a beautiful green shirt, do you have a green jacket?"
That was in reference to Koepka having not won the Masters during his career, to which he responded: "I do not, but I will don't worry."
The rematch will not come to fruition, however, with Mickelson's team set to take on the side led by Australian Cam Smith.
Mickelson, 52, has won the Masters three times over the course of his illustrious career with three other Majors, while Koepka has claimed both the US Open and the PGA Championship on two separate occasions.
But Mickelson has only ever reached World No.2, whereas Koepka topped the rankings back in 2018.
