LIV players write to golf world rankings chief asking for points at their events

LIV golfers have written a joint letter to the head of the Official World Golf Rankings requesting points are attributed to past and future events in the Saudi-backed breakaway to ensure the “integrity” of the current system.

Five of the 54-hole tournaments have already been held this year, for which a number of top names signed up, with the final three scheduled for Bangkok, Jeddah and Miami.
