LIV Golf Indianapolis Prize Money Payout 2026

Sebastian Munoz with the LIV Golf Indianapolis torphy.

Following months of speculation as to when and how the LIV Golf season would conclude, we now know - it's not with the originally scheduled Team Championship, but in Indianapolis.

That's because, earlier in the year, the Saudi Public Investment Fund confirmed it was ending its backing of the circuit, throwing its future into uncertainty.

There is some room for optimism, with CEO Scott O'Neil recently confirming a lead investor was on board in a bid to ensure it continues beyond 2027.

However, following that news, as we waited to see if LIV Golf 2.0 would come to fruition, there were still questions over how the remainder of the 2026 season would take shape.

The upshot is that, following the cancellation of the Team Championship, all the season's loose ends will be tied up in Sunday's final round at The Club at Chatham Hills.

Typically, regular-season events distribute $20m to the 57 members of the field. However, that has been dramatically reduced to $10.1m for LIV Golf Indianapolis, with the winner picking up a check for $2,020,000 rather than $4,000,000.

If there's a solo runner-up, the payout will be $1,136,250 rather than $2,250,000.

Further down the leaderboard, those near the bottom will receive $25,250, rather than the $50,000 they would typically receive.

The Team Championship had been slated to offer a purse of $40.1m, but with that now off the schedule, a total of $30m will be distributed among the teams following LIV Golf Louisiana.

The format for the team competition will see all four players on each team's scores counted every day, with one of the 13 teams being crowned the 2026 LIV Golf Team Champion based on the totals. Whichever team that is will earn $8,400,000.

That's significantly less than a year ago, when Jon Rahm's Legion XIII claimed $14m for its Team Championship win.

After three rounds of LIV Golf Indianapolis, Michael La Sasso was in pole position to win first prize in the individual tournament after he followed up a brilliant 60 in the first round with a four-under 66 on Moving Day. After 54 holes, Legion XIII was the leading team.

A year ago, Jon Rahm secured the LIV Golf Individual Championship title when he finished runner-up to Sebastian Munoz at the event.

Ahead of this year's edition, his third consecutive season-long title had already been secured, for which he will receive a $6,000,000 bonus, with the player finishing second set for a $3,000,000 prize and the player in third a $1,000,000 one-off payment.

Below are all the prize money distributions on offer at LIV Golf Indianapolis before ties are taken into account.
