List of the quirky animals living in Bristol's pubs including turtles and parrots - and where to see them

Everyone is used to seeing dogs or cats in pubs when they are enjoying a pint. Customers rave that our four-legged friends add a homely feel to their local boozer.

But some landlords across our city have gone one step further with pets they home. From turtles to parrots, there are a variety of quirky creatures lurking in public houses - and customers love them. They have become so popular that one man even started a Reddit blog to record where you can find these loveable animals. Here's the full list:

Coronation

This traditional local in Southville boasts TVs, a jukebox and lots of seating. This spot also has a resident cat and turtle.

Serving a wide array of real ales, cider and lagers, this Stapleton venue is famous for its huge beer garden. But the boozer also has a few dogs, a cat and a parrot.

The Eastfield Inn

The award-winning pub in Henleaze is very popular for Sunday lunches and also used to be known for its chickens. But sadly the hens have now left.

Cornubia

Tucked away behind Temple Meads, this venue prides itself on Real Ales.

The boozer used to also home 'fish and a turtle' in tanks - these have now also been removed. But the landlord was shocked to find a 'super-friendly' ferret in his beer garden at the end of December, which was then handed over to PDSA Pet Hospital on Bath Road.
