The latest Lisandro Martinez transfer news has revealed that Manchester United are willing to cash-in on the Argentinian star.
Martinez is widely regarded as a fans favourite at Old Trafford despite some questionable performances since he joined the club in 2022.
INEOS do not see the 26-year-old playing a vital role in the future. Therefore, they are exploring the possibility of letting the centre-back leave sooner rather than later.
In the Premier League this season, Martinez has featured in 12 of the Red Devils 15 games with Ruben Amorim’s side languishing in 13th. Last time out against Nottingham Forest, Martinez came directly under fire.
‘The Butcher’ was easily beaten in the air as Nikola Milenković headed home the opener. Later in the game, Chris Wood’s looping header was allowed to drop in as Forest claimed a famous 3-2 win.
Pundits such as Jamie Carragher and Jamie Redknapp questioned Martinez’s ability and discipline to make it in England’s elite division. Namely if he is tall enough to deal with the rigours of playing against larger opponents.
🚨 Manchester United could be tempted to cash in on Lisandro Martinez if Real Madrid step up their interest in the defender.

Lisandro Martinez Transfer News Reveals Real Madrid Interest
According to reports, Real Madrid are likely to swoop with a January bid. Los Blancos have a number of defensive injuries at present and Lisandro Martinez could ease the pressure at the Bernabeu.
It’s unclear at this stage if the Spanish giants would want to sign Martinez on a permanent deal. The option to loan would probably suit Carlo Ancelotti’s side better.
However, INEOS are likely to only entertain cash bids. Martinez cost £57 million when he joined but Manchester United would surely have to take a loss on the World Cup winner.
Meanwhile, INEOS have identified just three current stars who would not be sold under any circumstances. England wonderkid Kobbie Mainoo, Argentina’s Alejandro Garnacho and Ivory Coast winger Amad Diallo are those in question.
Every other member of the playing squad is essentially at risk of being moved on. That includes academy graduate Marcus Rashford – whose off-field problems and large salary have made him a prime candidate to be flogged.
