Lisa Marie Presley shared a devastating post about "grief" and feeling "destroyed" shortly before her sudden death at the age of 54.
The daughter of Elvis Presley passed away on Thursday after suffering a cardiac arrest, according to reports. Her final Instagram post was intended to help other deal with grief.
It read: "Hi. In honor of it being National Grief Awareness Day , I wrote an essay about Grief which was posted today on PEOPLE," she shared. I thought I’d post it here in the hopes that anyone who needs to hear all of this, it helps in some way."

Lisa Marie had to deal with grief after her son, Benjamin, died by suicide in 2020. Following her death, Rita Wilson said she and Tom Hanks have been left devastated, Birmingham Live reports.
"Our hearts are broken with the sudden and shocking passing of Lisa Marie Presley tonight," she wrote on Instagram. In the post, Wilson recalls spending time with Presley and her family during Elvis' promotional tour last year, alongside Tom starring with Austin Butler in the Baz Lurhmann biopic.
"Lisa Marie was so honest and direct, vulnerable, in a state of anticipation about the movie. She spoke so eloquently about her father, what the movie meant to her, that it was a celebration of her dad," Ruth wrote.
"She had her gorgeous daughters Finley and Harper with her who made us all laugh. She privately showed us her home, Graceland, and she made it feel like home to us. She was so gracious to us, Austin, Baz, and guests.
"Our hearts and our prayers go out to Riley, Harper, Finley , Danny and Priscilla. Sending love to the family, prayers for peace and strength. Love, Rita and Tom." Marlee Matlin also expressed her sympathy "as a mother" for Priscilla Presley.
"I had the chance to know @Cilla-Presley when I was on Dancing With the Stars and as a mother, I can't imagine the pain she must be going through with the untimely passing of Lisa Marie," she wrote on Twitter.
"I have the image of little Lisa Marie growing up. RIP Lisa Marie Presley."
