Lisa Marie Presley memoir reveals Michael Jackson was 'still a virgin' when they got together

Lisa Marie Presley’s posthumously released memoir claims that second husband Michael Jackson was a virgin when they first got together.

Jackson - who was known as the King of Pop - died of cardiac arrest in 2009 at the age of 50 just weeks before he was due to embark on a farewell tour.

He married singer Presley - who died aged 54 in January 2023 following complications from bariatric surgery - in 1994, but they divorced two years later.

Presley first met Jackson in 1975 when she was seven years old at one of the Jackson Five's concerts in Las Vegas, where her dad Elvis was also a headliner.

It wasn’t until two decades later however that romance would blossom when she was 26 and he was 35, with the pair swapping vows soon after she divorced first husband Danny Keough, with whom she had two children.

In the book titled From Here to the Great Unknown, which was released on October 8 after being completed by Presley's daughter Riley Keough, she wrote: "He told me he was still a virgin. I think he had kissed Tatum O'Neal, and he'd had a thing with Brooke Shields, which hadn't been physical apart from a kiss. He said Madonna had tried to hook up with him once, too, but nothing happened. I was terrified because I didn't want to make the wrong move."

She added: "When he decided to first kiss me, he just did it. He was instigating everything. The physical stuff started happening, which I was shocked at. I had thought that maybe we wouldn’t do anything until we got married, but he said, ‘I’m not waiting!’”

Recalling how their relationship developed, Presley penned: “Michael said, ‘I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I’m completely in love with you. I want us to get married and for you to have my children.’

“I didn’t say anything immediately, but then I said, ‘I’m really flattered, I can’t even talk,’” she continued. “By then, I felt I was in love with him too.”

Explaining what drew her to him, she said: “There was an energy there, something about him that was truly remarkable, something that I’ve never ever seen or felt in my entire life, other than with my dad. … I fell in love with him because he was normal.

“I was actually so happy. I’ve never been that happy again,” she said of their time together.

Presley later married actor Nicolas Cage from 2002 until 2004, and guitarist Michael Lockwood in 2006 - with whom she went on to welcome twins Finley and Harper, 16, before they called it quits in 2021.
