Chris Paul had a reunion with the Phoenix Suns Wednesday, but all anyone can talk about is the heated exchange he had with referee Scott Foster.
Chris Paul is a rather easygoing guy, but it’s well-known that he does not make small talk, especially when he takes exception to a situation.
Paul and Foster reportedly have beef that pre-dates his time in Golden State. Paul says that it involves his son, and that still doesn’t sit well with him. It’s personal.
During Wednesday night’s matchup, Foster and Paul began chirping at each other, and things escalated quickly. Foster handed Paul a technical foul and then a second technical came moments later that ended Paul’s night early.
Cameras captured the moment Paul told Foster what he really thought of the ejection. Lip-readers think it was, “You’re a [expletive].” TWICE.
