The Detroit Lions have hired a new head athletic trainer to oversee the team’s training staff. Mike Sundeen joined the Lions on Saturday in the role.
Sundeen comes from the Denver Broncos, where he has worked in the athletic training department since 2014. He will join forces and work closely with Brett Fischer, who was hired recently as the Lions’ director of player health and performance.
Sundeen replaces Kevin Bastin, who has been the Lions’ lead trainer since Dan Campbell took over as head coach in 2021.
