Lionel Messi’s father recovering from ‘health-related’ issue, family reveal

Lionel Messi’s family have confirmed that the Argentina superstar’s father is recovering from a medical issue amid speculation over his condition.

The 38-year-old Inter Miami forward looked emotional as he scored the opening goal in his country’s 3-0 Group J victory over Algeria, in which he went on to equal Miroslav Klose’s competition record of 16 with a hat-trick.
