Matthew Clarke believes Ethan Devine is only getting started in a Linfield shirt.
Devine, who joined the Blues from Knockbreda in January, has scored a string of crucial goals in his short time so far at Windsor Park.
Last week’s winner in a 2-1 aggregate victory over Welsh champions TNS in the Champions League was the latest highlight for the 21-year-old striker.

And long-serving left-back Clarke believes there’s more to come from the youngster whose goals off the bench helped fire the Blues to title glory last season.
“Since coming here in January, Ethan has really bought into being at the biggest football club on the island,” said Clarke.
“He has bought into us and we have definitely bought into him. He’s only 21 and there’s definitely a lot more to come from him because I see how hard he works on a daily basis.
“His goal against TNS last week, getting across the front post to finish, was an example of that because it is something we have worked on.
“He’s a real handful and I know there’s so much more to come from him.”
Devine played a key role in securing Gibson Cup glory for Linfield in April, his late winners against Crusaders (3-2) and Warrenpoint (2-1) proving crucial in the run-in.
He also popped up with a late equaliser in a 2-2 draw at nearest rivals Cliftonville in January, a result that helped ensure the Blues edged out the Reds at the end of the title hunt.
“Look at the goals he’s scored since signing in January,” said Clarke. “They aren’t just any goals. They have been massive goals for us and late on in games.
“Considering how close the title race was and the way the season ended, his goals were absolutely massive.”
Devine has scored six goals in 17 appearances for Linfield and was rewarded with a contract extension until 2025 earlier this summer.
Meanwhile, Clarke believes Linfield have done “brilliant” business in the summer transfer window with a number of high-profile signings secured ahead of the new season.
The likes of Robbie McDaid, who left Glentoran earlier this month, Joel Cooper, Eetu Vertainen, Chris McKee and Daniel Finlayson have all been snapped up in recent weeks.
“I think the recruitment this summer has been brilliant with the players we’ve signed and the quality we’ve added,” said Clarke.
“We probably are in a better position squad wise and fair play to the club for doing that. The players we’ve signed are pure quality and they will be great additions.”
