The Linenspa Memory Foam Hybrid Mattress and the Allswell 10" Hybrid Mattress have a lot of similarities. Standing at 10" tall, both are budget-friendly hybrid mattresses that make great guest beds for holiday visitors. But what are the key differences between the Linenspa vs Allswell hybrid mattresses, which is best for your guests?
The Linenspa Memory Foam Hybrid currently has a place in this year's best mattress guide thanks to its ultra-cheap price for a hybrid bed. Meanwhile, the Allswell 10" Hybrid Mattress impressed our testers with its firm support.
You'll usually find these beds in the mattress sales, but even at full MSRP they're both affordable. Here, we'll take a look at the key differences between the Linenspa vs Allswell Hybrid, comparing price, design, and support and comfort.
Linenspa vs Allswell Hybrid Mattress: Price & trial
- Both beds are under $500 for a queen at MSRP and have a 10-year warranty
- The Linenspa Hybrid has a 100-day returns policy at Amazon
- Walmart has a 90-day returns policy on the Allswell mattress
Both the Linenspa and Allswell hybrids are the best cheap mattresses, coming well under $500 for a queen even at full retail price. While you can get the Linenspa Memory Foam Hybrid Mattress at its cheapest if you opt for the shorter sizes, we're looking at the 10" version as this height suits almost every adult sleeper.
The starting price for the Linenspa bed is $179.99. A queen Linenspa is $292.85 at Amazon (it's now sold out at Linenspa, where a queen was priced at $319.99), and comes with a 10-year warranty and a 100-day returns and replacement policy. It's currently not on sale at the retailer, but we have seen a queen is often reduced to as low as $197.94 during Amazon Prime Day back in July.
With a starting price of $217 ($194 when on sale), the Allswell also goes on sale from time to time, but the savings aren't huge. Right now, you can save $33 on a queen. This drop isn't much, but it does get you a queen for just $284. Like most mattresses sold at Walmart, it comes with free 90-day returns and a 10-year warranty.
Need it before Christmas? Both mattresses come with quick delivery, and shouldn't take more than 3-5 working days to be delivered.
Linenspa vs Allswell Hybrid Mattress: Materials & design
- Both stand at 10 inches tall and have a hybrid deign
- Both use gel-infused memory foam as comfort layers
- The Linenspa has an open coil system, the Allswell has reinforced springs
Both mattresses are 10" thick, and have the gel-infused memory foam hybrid design found in the best hybrid mattresses on the market, which makes their low price even more impressive.
The Linenspa has a simple three-layer construction, starting with a quilted memory foam layer at the top for pressure-reliving surface. It then follows with a more responsive layer of polyfoam, leading to an open coil system is similar to the ones found in traditional innerspring mattresses. The mattress is topped with a soft-touch polyester blend cover.
The Allswell mattress, on the other hand, has reinforced individually-wrapped springs such as the ones found in more modern hybrid mattresses, which are designed to offer greater edge support and motion isolation. Like the Linenspa, it has a three-tier construction with quilted comfort foam on top, followed by a layer of copper-infused memory foam to wick away body heat as you sleep.
Linenspa vs Allswell Hybrid Mattress: Comfort & support
- The Allswell is medium-firm, while Linenspa rate their hybrid as medium
- They aren't the most durable, but should be great for guest beds
- Both suit back and stomach sleepers the most
First of all, we want you to make it clear that these are budget beds. They're not going to have top-quality features that you see in the best luxury mattresses, or even the best mattress under $1000 — and our reviews reflect that.
When we reviewed the Linenspa for our Linenspa Gel Memory Foam Mattress review, we reviewed the cheaper 8" version, which we found to be medium-firm which is exactly how Linenspa described it. However, if you want to go for the 10" version (which we highly reccomend you do for maximum comfort) keep in mind that Linenspa states this model is medium rather than medium-firm.
But, if you want to go for the cheaper, thinner 8" model, we found it to be best suited for lightweight stomach sleepers, growing kids, and guest rooms where the bed won't be used every single night. We predict, however, that the 10" comfort should be more comfortable for more kinds of sleeper.
The Allswell, on the other hand, was found to be better for front and back sleepers in The Allswell mattress review. We also liked the motion isolation and the stable edges. However, it may be too firm for side sleepers and not firm enough for heavier bodies.
Linenspa vs Allswell Hybrid Mattress: Which should I buy?
Buy the Linenspa if...
✅ You want more options: The mattress comes in three different height options, which can adjust the firmness.
✅ You're on a tighter budget: The Linenspa is one of the cheapest mattresses on the market, with a starting price of $179.99 for a 10" twin —and the 8" version is cheaper.
✅ You want a classic innerspring mattress: The open-coil syatem mimics the materials found in the traditional mattress that you (and your guests) are likely used to.
Buy the Allswell if...
✅ You live in a warmer climate: Our reviewers found the mattress delivered great temperature regulation thanks to its airflow-boosting springs and gel-infused memory foam.
✅ You want better support: At a crowd-pleasing medium firm, the reinforced spring should deliver great support for back, front, and combination sleepers.
✅ You need a bed with motion isolation: If your guests are sharing a bed, the Allswell is great for limiting motion transfer.
