A boutique summer music festival coming to Newcastle for the first time has revealed its line-up.
Australian alternative rock band Ocean Alley, indie pop duo Royel Otis, singer-songwriter G Flip and rock band Violent Soho will headline Rolling Sets this summer.
The festival announced it will bring its line-up to Newcastle's Foreshore Park on Saturday December 5, after opening at Ebenezer Park, Tweed Heads on November 28.
The two venues will replace the festival's previous home on the Central Coast.
Organisers described the event as a convergence of live music, surf, skate and beach culture set against two waterfront locations.
Other acts taking to the stage across the day include The Rions, Old Mervs, Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers, The Belair Lip Bombs, Evening Elephants, Mid Drift, Radium Dolls, Trials, Cheeky Leash, Headsend, Selve, The Cheaks (Newcastle only), Blush, Bushbaby, Fritter & Wongo, Anika, Elijah Something, Ryan Maloney and DJ Macaroni.
After the past four years at Memorial Park at The Entrance, and its Tweed Heads debut in 2025, festival organisers chose to expand to Newcastle as the event grew in popularity.
"As the festival continues to grow, we need more space. Moving to Newcastle Foreshore allows us to create a bigger experience for fans while keeping everything that makes Rolling Sets special," festival director Matt Wise said.
He said the move from the Central Coast to Newcastle would allow for better accommodation and transport options for audiences travelling from across NSW.
Presented by triple J and Ripcurl, and partnering with Humanitix for ticket sales, profits from booking fees will go towards supporting charities focused on education, healthcare and opportunities for disadvantaged children.
Ticket presale will open on Thursday, June 18 at 8am AEST with general sale opening at 10am.
