Lindsey Graham tells Trump there’s ‘no reason’ to invade Iran, but then immediately demands he seize a crucial Iranian territory

Senator Lindsey Graham made a contradictory statement about Iran, saying the U.S. should not invade the country, but then immediately telling President Trump to take control of a key part of Iranian territory. Taking an island by force would, by most definitions, count as a military invasion.

Last Friday, President Trump announced that the U.S. military had “totally obliterated every military target” on Kharg Island, through which 90% of Iran’s oil exports pass. According to Mediaite, he said the island’s oil infrastructure was left intact, but warned that if Iran does not reopen the Strait of Hormuz, he will “reconsider this decision.”
