Lindsay Clancy messaged one of her caregivers less than two months before she killed her three young children in 2023, saying she was experiencing “intrusive thoughts I never had before,” feeling “completely hopeless” and worried about becoming addicted to certain medications.
Rebecca Jollotta, a psychiatric nurse practitioner with South Shore Health’s Perinatal Behavioral Health Program, testified Tuesday that she regularly exchanged messages with Clancy through a patient portal in late November and December 2022. Much of their communication focused on Clancy’s difficulty sleeping, depressive symptoms and efforts to find the right combination of medications to manage them. The two also had both in-person and virtual appointments.
