The long-delayed project to revamp Liverpool's famous Lime Street gateway is edging closer to completion.
New images, shared by Liverpool City Council, show that new cycle lanes - which are key features of the redesign of the area - are taking shape. The update comes as part of Lime Street remains closed to traffic.
A one-way closure will stay in place on the southbound lane of the street until 5pm tomorrow evening. For the duration of the closure, all traffic (buses and taxis) that would normally travel down London Rd to Lime Street will be diverted via Norton Street, Hunter Street, Byrom Street, Old Haymarket and St John’s Lane, where they can gain access to Queen Square.
