Glasgow based renewable energy company LIME has announced a major new three-year partnership with Motherwell Football Club, becoming the club’s first-team front-of-shirt sponsor from the start of the 2026/27 Scottish Premiership season.
The deal marks the biggest commercial partnership in Motherwell FC’s history and represents a significant milestone for LIME as the fast-growing business continues to strengthen its presence across Scotland.
The partnership reflects LIME’s wider commitment to investing in Scottish communities, supporting local sport and helping build a more sustainable future through cleaner, smarter energy solutions.
LIME, which has built its reputation on making renewable energy simple and accessible for homeowners and businesses, sees the collaboration as a natural fit, with both organisations sharing a strong focus on ambition, hard work and progress.
David Turnbull, Managing Director at LIME, said: “We’re incredibly proud to become the front-of-shirt sponsor of Motherwell Football Club. This is a landmark partnership for LIME and one we’re genuinely excited about.
“Motherwell is a club with a proud history, a passionate fanbase and a clear ambition for the future. After such a positive season last year, we’re looking forward to being part of what promises to be another exciting campaign.”
As one of Scotland’s fastest-growing renewable energy companies, LIME is helping households and businesses take control of their energy future through straightforward solar and battery solutions, cutting both costs and carbon footprints.
The company says the partnership forms part of its long-term growth strategy, building stronger connections with communities while raising awareness of the role renewable energy can play in Scotland’s future.
Paul McLernon, National Sales and Marketing Director at LIME, added: “This partnership represents more than branding on a football shirt. It reflects a shared commitment to community, progress and building a brighter future, both on and off the pitch.
“We’re proud to support the club, its players and its supporters over the next three years, and we’re excited to be part of the journey ahead.”
Suzanne Reid, Commercial Director at Motherwell FC, welcomed the new partnership, describing it as a major boost for the club and its supporters.
With the LIME logo set to appear on the famous claret and amber shirts for the next three seasons, the partnership signals an ambitious new chapter for both organisations as they look to build momentum, drive progress and create lasting impact in Scotland.
For LIME, it’s another bold step in its mission to make renewable energy refreshingly simple and to back the communities driving change.
