Lily Allen has candidly told a fan why she doesn't sing any more, some five years after her last album was released.
The singer, 37, teased a new trailer for her upcoming TV acting debut on Thursday. Lily will play Mel in the six-part series Dreamland.
From the creators of the critically-acclaimed Motherland, the show is based on a BAFTA winning short film of the same name. Set in Margate, it follows "secrets, love and lies" within a family of four sisters.

Sharing the news on Instagram, Lily said: "OH MY GOODNESS! #Dreamland, coming soon to Sky Atlantic and NOW. #UpNextOnSky".
Lily's celebrity friends have rushed to praise her new career move. Hollywood star Lindsay Lohan simply posted a series of applauding emojis, while Daisy Lowe said: "Absolutely cannot WAIT".
Fans have also been quick to comment on the post, with one asking the question on the lips of many. Rachel said: "Why have you quit singing? [sad face]", to which Lily replied: "because it’s an utterly s*** time to be a writer."
Lily's first TV role comes after she starred in Olivier Award winning play The Pillowman last year. Prior to that, she won best performer in a female identifying role at the What's On Stage awards for her role in 2:22 - A Ghost Story.
