A herd of horses caused chaos in a Nottinghamshire village after escaping from nearby stables and charging through a residential street, damaging several cars as they went.

The stampede involved 12 horses and happened in East Leake, where stunned locals watched the animals gallop straight down the road, turning a normally peaceful area into something out of a film.
