Besiktas president Ahmet Nur Cebi is keen to bring Everton striker Cenk Tosun back to Istanbul, ending his uninspiring four-year spell on Merseyside.
However, the Turkish international's wage demands could prove a stumbling block for any move back to his former club. Tosun is out of contract at the end of the season and looks set to leave Goodison Park after failing to live up to expectations.
The Blues brought the 30-year-old to England in a deal worth £27milllion in January 2018, but he has only made 26 starts and 35 substitute appearances for the Toffees during that time, scoring 11 goals in all competitions.

Cebi told Turkish outlet Fotomac: "Cenk Tosun is like our son, but there is a serious difference between us in terms of wages. Love is different, reality is different. Do I want to bring him back? Yes, for Besiktas."
If Tosun does decide to return to Besiktas it will be his third spell at the club. Everton loaned the striker back to the Turkish Süper Lig club for four months in the second part of last season, scoring three goals in three appearances. Despite limited opportunities at Everton and another loan spell with Crystal Palace, Tosun has been content to see out his contract with Everton.
