Life in the Nottinghamshire village with 'nice community spirit'

Villagers have shared what it's like living in their Nottinghamshire village. Kirklington residents say the village has a "nice community spirit" and despite the A617 cutting through they are not affected by the traffic.

Less than a mile from the rural village is Hill's Pick Your Own Fruit Farm and further along on the main road is Maxey's Farm Shop, which villagers say they love having nearby. Doctor Ruth Taylor, has lived in the village for two years. She said: "Yeah it's great, it's really lovely here.

"We like the countryside and the walks and the lakes. It's also handy as it's close to Southwell and the other villages."
