Lidl, Tesco and Iceland warnings as customers urged not to eat chicken and lasagne

A number of supermarkets have recalled various products from their shelves due to a series of safety concerns.

Lidl, Iceland, Tesco and more have recalled a number of chicken and lasagne-based products over the last few weeks. Liverpool Echo reports that the stores have urged customers not to eat them, but return the items to the store for a full refund.

You do not need to have your receipt to get your money back. When a product is recalled, for any reason, the Food Safety Agency (FSA) shares details on what the person should do if they have bought the item.

Lidl

Lidl is now recalling Birchwood 2 Breaded Katsu Kiev as it may contain milk - which was not mentioned on the label. This is because the product has been mispacked with Garlic and Herb Chicken Kiev which contains milk.

The reason it is being recalled is because the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk, or milk constituents.

The product details are as follows:

Birchwood 2 Breaded Katsu Kiev

  • Pack size: 260 g
  • Use-by date: 24 October 2022
  • Allergen: milk

If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents do not eat it. Instead return it to a Lidl GB store for a full refund, with or without a receipt.
