Lidl is stocking a highly-rated energy-saving appliance that has been hailed a "godsend" for the current cold spell by shoppers.
As energy bills continue to soar through the roof, items such as heated throws, electric blankets and fan heaters have been on everyone's wish list in a bid to keep costs down.
And with temperatures across the country continuing to plunge to below freezing this week, the idea of wrapping up in a cosy electric blanket will sound appealing to many.
Luckily, Lidl are stocking the Silentnight Comfort Electric Control Blanket in a double size for just £24.99 - which is 50% cheaper than other retailers.
The exact same electric blanket is currently in stock at Argos where it would set shoppers back £50 - meaning you could save money by popping to Lidl's Middle Aisle range.
Featuring a detachable control with three heat settings, a 15 minute heat up time and an overheat control, the Silentnight electric blanket will keep you cosy for less during the evenings.
Additionally, the blanket is said to cost from just 1p an hour to run on a low heat setting, meaning you can afford to stay warmer without racking up the bill.
The electric blanket currently has multiple five-star reviews from impressed shoppers on the Silentnight website, with comments praising it as "worth every penny."
One positive review read: "Wow, never had an electric blanket before. I have to say that during the winter this has been a godsend. Worth every penny."
Another shopper wrote: "Bought in Nov 22 as a means to heat the bed not the room and we love it. Programmed on 3 (the highest setting) for 45 mins makes getting into bed luxurious on cold nights when the heating been off a few hours."
White another said: "This is my first ever electric blanket and it's so good. Easy to fit, easy to use. Switch on 2 hours before bed and lap up the marvellous warmth."
The Silentnight Comfort Control Electric Blanket is available in the Middle Aisle section in Lidl stores for £24.99. Check with your local store for stock availability.
