Lidl’s garden event will include BBQs starting from just £23

The middle of lidl has four new BBQs dropping this week. - (The Independent)

It’s been a long, cold winter. But finally, the good weather feels like it’s making a comeback, and with it comes that familiar urge to spend evenings in the garden enjoying a nice meal.

With barbecue season unofficially underway, Lidl has launched its next garden event, and this year its outdoor grills are front and centre. The range includes four impressive barbecues designed for every level of outdoor cooking, whether you’re after something simple and compact for a quick burger, or a more advanced setup for impressing your guests with smoking and baking.

There’s something for every price point too, with the cheapest barbecue starting at £22.99, and more advanced options reaching just shy of £100. All of these products will land in stores on Thursday, 30 April, so you can nab yourself one in time for the bank holiday.

Lidl mini ceramic kamado BBQ

(Lidl)

This barbecue is for the versatile cook. It’s a ceramic model built for more than just grilling a burger or sausage. It comes into its own for smoking, baking, grilling, and high-temperature cooking. At £79.99, this is an affordable dupe of the famed Kamado Joe Jr ( £499.99, l.kamadojoe.com)

It features a high-quality ceramic shell and fire bowl for heat retention, reaching temperatures up to 450C. The stainless steel fire bowl ventilation slider and a cast iron lid ventilator help to control the heat, too.

It even comes with an integrated thermometer, with a degree scale and marked cooking levels for smoking, baking, grilling, and searing, so temperature control is made nice and simple.

The lid also includes an adjustable air vent for fine tuning cooking temperature, plus a heat-protected handle for safer use. An ash collecting tray helps keep your lawn or patio clean, while the enamelled fire bowl, lid, and charcoal grate are heat-resistant, according to Lidl.

And better yet, it’s only £22.99.

Lidl Kansas charcoal barbecue

(Lidl)

This barbecue features four ventilation controls, a height-adjustable charcoal tray, and a hinged lid for greater precision while cooking.

It has two chrome-plated cooking grids and a chrome-plated warming rack , so if you’re cooking for a crowd, you’ve got plenty of space to cook and keep food warm at the same time.

The galvanised charcoal bowl includes a crank system for adjusting the height, and there’s a separate charcoal hatch. The lid comes with a built-in thermometer and stainless steel handles.

The removable ash collection tray helps with easy cleanup. This barbecue will hit the middle of lidl for £79.99.
