In 2020, Lidl were crowned the UK's cheapest supermarket by consumer website Which? who said that shoppers could save more than £20 by shopping with them.
However in updated news, the comparison website has now crowned a new winner - and it's not Tesco or Asda.
Announcing the champion on Facebook, they said that the title had now been handed over to Aldi as it was the most frequent winner of the cheapest supermarket title during the 12 months of price comparisons from January to December 2021.
