Lidl forced to ration eggs as store puts up three-item per person notice

Lidl has been forced to ration eggs, with shoppers being limited to three boxes per person at a store.

A picture was posted online, showing the "three boxes per customer" notice at a Lidl. It is not clear how many stores are implementing this measure.

However, there have been fears over a shortage of eggs. Shoppers have been sharing photos from stores, showing bare shelves where eggs should be. One Tesco customer posted an image on Twitter showing signs that read: "Due to the hot summer we are currently experiencing low availability across our egg range.
