Lidl food thieves threaten staff with weapon before running off in Brislington

Police have launched a CCTV appeal after a theft was reported in a Lidl supermarket in Brislington. Two men are reported to have stolen food from the store in Bath Road on Thursday, May 18 at around 10.15am.

The men were then challenged by staff when security alarms sounded, Avon and Somerset Police said. When challenged, the men made verbal threats towards the workers and one of them threatened staff with a metal bike chain.

The pair then fled the scene. Officers have released CCTV images of two men they wish to talk to in connection with the incident.
