As we hurtle into autumn and winter, and the dark starry evenings are looming, our gaze is pulled upward toward the night's sky, studded with stars. There seems to have been a celestial influence on the design world, too, and Liberty, known for shaping the landscape of interior design trends as a whole, is also smitten with this ethereal aesthetic.
I've scanned all the new homewares at Liberty, and it's safe to say it's peppered with patterns of stars, planets, stars, moons, comets, asteroids, and galaxies, as well as motifs of spiritual or divine realms. I, for one, am besotted. It's a look that takes root in the imagination and seems imbued with a little bit of magic.
